AHECS community members and partners awarded

The talent and dedication of staff working in cybersecurity across the sector has been highlighted by this week’s 2022 Australian Women in Security, AISA, and CAUDIT awards. More than 30 staff working within the AHECS community network were nominated for the awards and five were chosen as finalists, reflecting their immense contribution to the Australian IT security, cyber, and protective security industries. Congratulations to the following members of our community who were recognised with awards:

Most innovative educator in cybersecurity: Nivedita Newar from University of New South Wales (UNSW) 

Male champion of change: Dushyant Sattiraju from Deakin University (highly commended) and Dave O’Loan from AARNET (special recognition) 

**AISA 2022 Awards** 

Cyber Security Outreach Program of the Year - Tangible Uplift Program 

**CAUDIT 2022 Awards** 

Emerging Leader - Nivedita Newar from University of New South Wales (UNSW)
