Community of practice

The AHECS Cybersecurity Community of Practice (CoP) serves as both a strategic and functional vehicle for engagement and collaboration on trends, risks, threats, impacts, controls, and good practices associated with all aspects of cybersecurity. The Cybersecurity CoP also provides a vehicle for Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) sharing across the sector.

The AHECS Cybersecurity Slack Channel, facilitated through AusCERT, has been created to help bring the higher education and research cybersecurity community closer together and to facilitate more accessible communication. As part of this community, you will receive invitation to our regular webinar sessions, which are run 2-3 times each month on Tuesdays 1-2pm AEST. You can view previous and upcoming webinars on our events page. You will also receive sector-specific threat briefings, access to our private community Slack channel, and access to the CoP to ask (or answer) questions and positively contribute to the sector.
