In this session we were joined by Shannon Davis, Security Strategist within the SURGe Security Research Team with Splunk. Shannon shared the findings from recent research which looked at ransomware binaries to measure encryption speed, determine factors which impacted this time, and better understand how different ransomware variants utilised system resources. These research outcomes may be useful to improve the way we defend and react against ransomware.
